Did it by the skin of my teeth, but I got these year-in-review posts out before January ends and 2023 is 8% over.

One of the unintended consequences of an AMC A-List membership is that I watch less television. I kept up with a few core shows this year and a few that my partner and I got through together, but 2022 was a movie year.

The sheer amount of television available and the fact that a show is many more hours of time commitment than a movie creates so much pressure that I end up watching a show I already know and love (looking at you, Star Trek) or a movie! I’m hoping to get better at balancing between movies and TV this year. Here are my top 5 favorite shows of 2022 (with honorable mentions):
