In the Aftermath of School Shootings: Who Protects the Teachers?

I’ve been struggling to write this for weeks. The one-two punch of Buffalo and Uvalde–not to mention the 41 additional mass shootings since–has been overwhelming, frustrating, terrifying. That I’m in the last three weeks of working in a school building for the foreseeable future adds a layer of ambivalence and agitation to a perennially unacceptable situation.
